Map of the Area
It’s not unusual to see so few details immediately following a fatal crash, but it’s been nearly a week since this crash happened. I can’t help but be concerned whether or not the victim’s family is getting any more information than the public. Some people think a police investigation is as thorough as it gets, but that’s not entirely true.
Any accident involving a commercial vehicle, especially a fatal one, is incredibly complex. It can take police weeks or even months to thoroughly examine the evidence. Quite frankly, those affected by a serious accident shouldn’t have to wait that long.
This is why I so frequently encourage the aid of experienced private investigators. The evidence showing the cause of an accident is most clear immediately following the wreck, and that evidence deteriorates with each day. The sooner a professional gets to the scene, the more information the victim’s family can get their hands on.
