Antonio Villarreal Killed in Brownsville, TX, House Fire Accident

Brownsville, TX -- July 17, 2017, Antonio Villarreal suffered fatal injuries as the result of an accident in which his house caught fire.

According to preliminary investigations conducted by the Brownsville Fire Department, the incident happened at a residence near 30 Pinar Del Rio Avenue in the late afternoon hours of Monday.

The emergency call came in at around 5:00 p.m. after neighbors saw smoke coming from the residence. Rescue teams came out to the house and were able to contain the fire. As they entered the house, they discovered 54-year-old Villarreal unresponsive. Officials indicate that he died at the scene.

The exact cause of his death has not been confirmed, and the factors surrounding the fire are also unclear. Investigations are ongoing.
