Robert Stauffer Killed in Work Accident in Lancaster, PA

Lancaster, PA -- A work-related incident in the area of Lancaster, PA claimed the life of 47-year-old Robert Stauffer Sunday, July 16, 2017.

The incident took place at a packaging firm in Mount Joy. According to reports, the victim was crushed when working with lift equipment at Phoenix Packaging. Around 5:25 a.m., responders arrived at 1160 E. Main Street for a work incident. Workers had lifted the equipment off the man prior to rescuers arriving, however, Mr. Stauffer died from traumatic asphyxiation.

Local officials are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause.

More information is expected as the investigation ends.
