Man Killed in Corpus Christi, TX, Motorcycle Accident on JFK

Corpus Christi, TX, -- July 15, 2017, a man suffered fatal injuries resulting from an accident where his motorcycle crashed on the JFK Causeway.

According to preliminary details released by the Corpus Christi Police Department, the incident occurred just after midnight along the JFK Causeway.

Preliminary details surrounding the accident indicate that a motorcyclist, who has not been identified, was traveling along the westbound lanes of the Causeway. For reasons which investigators have yet to determine, the motorcycle lost control and ran off the side of the road.

The motorcycle struck the concrete barrier, ejecting the rider. He struck an anchor wire and sustained critical injuries. By the time emergency services arrived on the scene, it was too late to treat the victim. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not yet determined what factors might have caused the accident. Their investigations are ongoing.
