Man Killed in Amarillo, TX, Hit-and-run Accident on Amarillo Blvd

Amarillo, TX -- July 15, 2017, a man was fatally injured due to an accident in which he was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene.

Investigators from the Amarillo Police Department were called out to the accident scene at the intersection of Amarillo Boulevard and North Grant Street.

According to preliminary details released by police, the man, said to be 58 years old, was attempting to cross Amarillo Boulevard at the time. As he did so, he was struck by a vehicle that failed to see him in time. The driver left the victim on the road and fled the scene.

Reports indicate that the victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The suspect driver was said to be in a dark vehicle, possibly a hatchback.
