3-Year-Old Girl Killed in Accident at County Road 226 in Clute, TX

Clute, TX -- A single-vehicle crash in the area of Clute, Texas claimed the life of an unidentified 3-year-old girl Friday, July 14, 2017.

Lee Danford, 42, was apparently driving a car on County Road 226 when the incident occurred. Though the information was scarce, sources say Mr. Danford was attempting to secure a car seat his daughter unbuckled. In doing so, the vehicle lost control, went off the roadway, struck a fence, and flipped over.

Mr. Danford's three-year-old daughter was killed at the scene of the incident.

The report made no mention of further injuries in the collision.

The press release provided no further information.

The investigation is ongoing.
