Deputy Injured in Crosby, TX, Car Accident on Crosby Lynchburg
-- July 15, 2017, a Harris County Sheriff's Deputy was injured due to an accident where two vehicles collided on Crosby Lynchburg Road.
Officials with the Harris County Sheriff's Office indicate that the accident happened at around 10:00 p.m. approaching the intersection of Crosby Lynchburg and US Highway 90.
Authorities reported that a Deputy was conducting a traffic stop in the area at the time. As the officer did so, his vehicle was struck by a driver, pushing the cruiser into the officer.
Due to the collision, the officer was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment of injuries said to be non-life-threatening. The driver's condition was not given, though reports say they were arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
