1 Injured in Amarillo, TX, Downtown Rollover Accident

Amarillo, TX -- July 16, 2017, at least one person was take to the hospital due to an accident in which two vehicles collided at an intersection.

According to preliminary information released by the Amarillo Police Department, the crash took place in the evening hours of Sunday at the intersection of 9th Avenue and Fillmore Street.

Police officials indicated that two vehicles were crossing through the intersection traveling on different streets. One of the vehicles reportedly ran a red light, crashing into the other one. This caused one of the vehicles to overturn.

The driver of that vehicle was transported to a local hospital with injuries said to be non-life-threatening. The other driver's condition was not given.

Police did not say if any particular factors contributed to the accident. No further information has been released.
