Caldwell, TX: Single-Vehicle Truck Accident on FM 2001 Kills Two

Caldwell, TX -- A single-vehicle truck crash in the area of Caldwell, Texas claimed the lives of two unidentified people Sunday, July 16, 2017.

The incident took place on FM 2001 around 10:05 p.m. According to officials, the semi-truck, for undetermined reasons, veered off the roadway. The 18-wheeler then struck a tree, catching fire. Both the driver and the passenger in the truck were killed in the incident.

More information, including the identities and cause of the crash, may be forthcoming.

The investigation into the incident is currently underway.
