Hope Hays Killed, Kay Hays Injured in Henderson, TX, Accident

Henderson, TX -- June 5, 2017, Hope Hays was fatally injured and Kay Hays was hospitalized following an accident where their vehicle crashed.

Investigators from the Texas Department of Public Safety were called out to the scene of the accident in the morning hours of Monday. The crash happened west of Henderson along County Road 424.

At this time, the factors surrounding the accident are still unclear. Reports did not mention if any other vehicles were involved in the accident. As a result of the severe crash, teenaged Hope was fatally injured in the accident. Her mother, Kay was transported to a hospital in Tyler for treatment of critical injuries.

Police did not say what caused the accident. Additional details are pending further investigations.
