Devin Hodges Killed in Accidental Drowning in Anderson, SC

Anderson, SC -- A drowning incident in the area of Anderson, SC claimed the life of a South Carolina deputy Friday, June 2, 2017.

The incident happened on Lake Hartwell. It appears 30-year-old Devin Hodges was training on Lake Hartwell when he and two others were thrown from the boat. The boat reportedly circled back, striking Mr. Hodges. For unclear reasons, the life jacket worn by Mr. Hodges was caught on the propeller.

The report made no mention of other injuries in the incident.

The investigation into the drowning incident is currently underway.
