Dartangnan Reid, Jamel Linsey, Bernadette Luster, Jamelia Luster, Deztaney Spencer Injured in Cleveland, OH, Accident

Cleveland, OH -- June 3, 2017, Dartangnan Reid, Jamel Linsey, Bernadette Luster, Jamelia Luster, and Deztaney Spencer were injured in a bicycle accident.

42-year-old Reid, 45-year-old Linsey, 24-year-old Luster, 24-year-old Luster, and 17-year-old Spencer were identified as five bicyclists that were struck by a vehicle at around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of St. Clair Avenue and East 108th Street.

According to investigators, the five victims were riding bicycles along the side of St. Clair Avenue when a 27-year-old man driving past somehow hit them with his vehicle. Another vehicle struck several of the victims who had fallen in the road, but that vehicle fled the scene.

All five bicyclists were transported to a local hospital, and three were said to have critical injuries. It was not specified who was in what condition. The driver of the first vehicle was arrested under suspicion of drunk driving.

Police say investigations into the accident are ongoing.
