Ismail Iqbal Killed in Montville, NJ, Drunk Driving Accident

Montville, NJ -- June 2, 2017, Ismail Iqbal was killed as the result of an accident where alleged drunk driver Michelle Perez caused an accident.

According to reports given by the Morris County Police, the incident took place just before 7:00 p.m. near the I-80 and I-280 interchange.

Preliminary police reports stated that 32-year-old Iqbal was riding a Suzuki scooter along the westbound lanes of I-80. As he traveled, he was suddenly rear-ended by a car driven by 42-year-old Perez, throwing Iqbal onto the ground.

Iqbal suffered fatal injuries in the accident, and he was later pronounced dead St. Clare's Hospital. Police arrested Perez, and she currently faces charges of driving while intoxicated and vehicular homicide.

Police did not release any additional details.
