Woman Injured in Centerville, MA, Tow Truck Accident on Oak

Centerville, MA -- May 4, 2017, a woman was injured as the result of an accident in which the vehicle she was in crashed with a tow truck.

Authorities from local rescue teams came out to the scene of the accident at around 2:45 p.m. along Oak Street.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the woman was one of three occupants of an SUV which was traveling along Oak. Ahead of them, a tow truck was backing out of a driveway into the road. The SUV did not stop in time, and it collided into the side of the tow truck.

The woman suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital. The other occupants of the SUV and the tow truck refused treatment.

The exact caused of the accident was not reported.
