Roger Vail Killed in Work Accident in Manhattan, NY

Manhattan, NY -- A work-related incident in Manhattan, NY left 62-year-old Roger Vail dead Monday, June 5, 2017.

The incident happened near 40909 W. 33rd Street around 6:40 p.m. The investigation revealed the victim was working at at a development project when for reasons unclear he feel from a platform. It appears the man was doing a survey when he fell, dropping to a sixth floor landing.

Mr. Vail was reportedly a surveyor under the employ of 50 States Engineering.

The investigation into the incident is currently underway in an effort to determine the exact cause.

There was no further information provided by the preliminary press release.
