Jacob McLeod Injured in St. Francois County, MO, Truck Accident

St. Francois County, MO -- June 5, 2017, Jacob McLeod sustained injuries due to an accident where his vehicle crashed off the highway.

Authorities from the Missouri State Highway Patrol were called out to investigate the accident scene near the intersection of Highway K and Marvin Chapel Road.

Preliminary investigations indicate that 25-year-old McLeod was traveling along the highway when his dump truck somehow lost control. It ran off the side of the road and overturned into a tree. A farm tractor behind the dump truck lost control trying to avoid the truck and also crashed off-road.

Following the incident, McLeod required transportation to Parkland Health Center for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The tractor driver was uninjured.

At this time, police have yet to determine what caused the accident. Investigations are ongoing.
