4 Injured, Raul Rodriguez Charged in Kaufman, TX, DWI Accident

Kaufman, TX -- June 4, 2017, four people were injured and Raul Rodriguez was arrested as the result of an accident where drunk driving caused an accident.

Authorities from the Kaufman Police Department were called out to the accident scene at around 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of US 175 and Fair Road.

According to preliminary police reports, 62-year-old Rodriguez was driving a vehicle along Fair Road. When he crossed over at US Highway 175, his vehicle collided into the side of another vehicle occupied by a mother and three children. That vehicle overturned as a result of the collision.

The four people in the overturned vehicle were transported to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Police determined that Rodriguez was intoxicated at the time of the accident. He was placed under arrest with multiple counts of intoxication assault.
