Maria Clarissa Aro Tabonares Killed in Accident in Killeen, TX

Killeen, TX -- A three-vehicle crash in Killeen, Texas claimed the life of Maria Clarissa Aro Tabonares Thursday, June 1, 2017.

Police officials say the victim's vehicle was driving on Bunny Trail around 5:22 p.m. For unclear reasons Ms. Tabonares's was attempting a left turn onto Stan Schlueter Loop when it collided with a GMC Envoy and a Nissan SUV. It appears the Nissan ran a red light, colliding with both vehicles as they entered the intersection.

Ms. Tabonares was transported to a nearby hospital, then was flown to Scott & White. She succumbed to her injuries a short time later.

The report made no mention of other injuries in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
