Motorcyclist Injured in Houston, TX, Accident on East I-10

Houston, TX -- May 29, 2017, a person on a motorcycle was injured as the result of an accident in which two vehicles crashed on I-10.

According to preliminary investigations by the Houston Police Department, the incident took place at approximately 9:30 p.m. near the interchange of Interstate 10 and Interstate 45.

Initial findings by police officials indicate that a person on a motorcycle, identity not released, was traveling eastbound along I-10. Another vehicle was in the same lanes. Somehow, the two vehicles crossed paths with each other, leading to a collision. The rider was ejected onto the roadway.

Emergency services were called out to the scene of the accident, and they transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The other driver wasn't injured.

Police say alcohol was not a factor in the accident, though a cause has not yet been reported. Investigations are ongoing.
