Boat Collision on the Black Warrior River Killed Two, and Left One Hurt in Jefferson Co., AL

Jefferson County, AL -- A boat collision in the area of Jefferson County, AL left two unidentified people dead Thursday, June 1, 2017.

The incident happened on the Black Warrior River around 7:30 p.m. According to the report, the two boats crashed near Bankhead Lake. One person from each boat was killed in the incident. A third person was left with injuries. The nature of that victim's injuries was described as non-life threatening.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
