Kevin Lee Injured in Waldoboro, ME, Bicycle/Truck Accident

Waldoboro, ME -- May 24, 2017, Kevin Lee was seriously injured due to an accident in which he was struck by a box truck while riding a bicycle.

Authorities from the Waldoboro Police Department responded to the accident scene along US Highway 1 (Atlantic Highway).

Preliminary accident reports indicate that 56-year-old Lee was traveling northbound along the side of US 1 on a bicycle. For reasons which are not entirely clear, a passing box truck struck Lee with its side mirror, knocking him off his bicycle and onto the ground.

Lee reportedly suffered a serious head injury in the accident. He was transported to Lincoln Health for treatment. No other injuries were reported.

Police did not report any charges or citations resulting from the accident, and the cause of the crash remains under investigations at this time.
