Frederick Von Kahl Killed in Accident in San Ysidro, CA

San Ysidro, CA -- A work-related incident in San Ysidro, California left 52-year-old Frederick Von Kahl dead Wednesday, May 31, 2017.

The incident happened on Camiones Way around 11 a.m. According to reports, the victim was struck in the chest by a drill rig. The man then fell up to 2 feet from an elevated platform. The man was reportedly unconscious when he was transported to a local hospital, where died en route.

It appears Mr. Von Kahl worked for sub-contractor, Earth Tech.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
