Woman Injured in Dallas, TX, Car Accident on TX-183

Dallas, TX -- June 4, 2017, a woman was seriously injured as the result of an accident where her car was struck on State Highway 183.

According to investigating police officials, the incident took place in the early morning hours of Sunday along State Highway 183.

The woman was in a car that was traveling along the highway when it experienced some sort of mechanical failure. She was pulled off onto the shoulder of the highway when her vehicle was suddenly rear-ended by another vehicle on the highway.

The woman in the broken down car suffered critical injuries. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The other driver's condition was not given.

The factors surrounding the accident are still unclear. Police continue their investigations.
