Corie Seabrooks Killed, Six Hurt in Accident in Monroe County, GA

Monroe County, GA -- A single-vehicle crash in the area of Monroe County, GA claimed the life of 7-year-old Corie Seabrooks Sunday, May 28, 2017.

The incident happened on I-75S around 5:30 p.m. The report claims a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer was headed north on 75 when a tire on the vehicle blew. The truck crossed two left lanes, striking the guardrail, The vehicle then flipped over multiple times. Seven people were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. One occupant, 7-year-old Corie Seabrooks, was killed at the scene. The other six passengers were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.

The official investigation is currently underway.
