Cecil Hillers Killed in Danville, IN, Tractor Accident

Danville, IN -- May 31, 2017, Cecil Hillers sustained fatal injuries resulting from an accident in which his vehicle and a tractor collided.

Preliminary investigations conducted by the Indiana State Police, the incident occurred at around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of State Highway 39 and State Highway 236.

Officials reported that 75-year-old Hillers was traveling along the southbound lanes of Highway 39. In the opposite lanes was a large farm tractor. For reasons which police are still investigating, the two vehicles crossed paths and collided head-on.

As a result of the collision, Hillers died at the scene of the crash. The driver of the tractor was not injured.

At this time, details surrounding what caused the crash are unclear. No further information is currently available.
