Philip Murry Killed, George E. Hughes Hurt in Accident in Liberty Township, OH

Liberty Township, OH -- An alleged alcohol-related incident in Liberty Township, OH claimed the life of 47-year-old Philip Murry, and left George E. Hughes Monday, May 29, 2017.

The incident happened on Ohio 129 around 12:27 p.m.

Police officials say Mr. Murry was the passenger in a 2003 BMW traveling along 129. The vehicle for reasons unclear left the roadway, hit a fence, and struck a tree. Mr. Murry was killed at the scene of the incident.

Mr. Hughes, the driver of the vehicle, sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash.

Police say they believe alcohol may have been a factor.

The official investigation into the incident is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.
