Mikel Snelling Injured in Nampa, ID, Truck Accident

Nampa, ID -- May 30, 2017, Mikel Snelling sustained injuries due to an accident in which his vehicle was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler during a sand storm.

According to preliminary investigations conducted by the Idaho State Police, the incident occurred at around 7:00 p.m. along the eastbound lanes of I-84, just outside the Caldwell Industrial Airport.

Police officials stated that 49-year-old Snelling was traveling along the interstate when high winds suddenly created a sand storm. During these moments, his vehicle was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler, causing his car to roll off the side of the highway. That 18-wheeler was then rear-ended by a second 18-wheeler.

As a result of the collision, Snelling was transported to St. Luke's Nampa Medical Center for treatment. His condition was unspecified. Neither truck driver was injured.

At this time, police have not reported any charges or citations being considered. Investigations are ongoing.
