Carl McGrady Killed, Lucas McGrady Hurt in Pool Electrocution on Augusta Street in Florence, AL

Florence, AL -- An incident involving a residential pool claimed the life of 65-year-old Carl McGrady and left his son Lucas with injuries Friday, May 19, 2017.

The incident happened around 1 p.m. According to the report, the elder Mcgrady got in the pool on Augusta Street to begin cleaning it when for reasons unclear he was shocked.

Mr. McGrady's son, Lucas, jumped into the pool in an effort to save his father, and was also shocked.

The cause of the incident is yet to be determined.

Mr. McGrady, the father, was killed in the incident. His son was hospitalized and remains in serious condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
