Pedestrian Killed in Bronx, NY, Hit-and-run Accident on Cross Bronx Expressway

Bronx, NY -- May 28, 2017, a pedestrian was killed following an accident where he was hit by multiple vehicles on the Cross Bronx Expressway.

The New York Police Department responded to the accident scene at around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of the Cross Bronx Expressway and Castle Hill Avenue.

According to initial police reports, a man, whose identity has not been released, was walking in the area of the expressway. For reasons which are unclear, he was struck by a passing 18-wheeler and thrown into the roadway. Afterward, he was struck by several other vehicles, killing him at the scene. All vehicles that struck him reportedly fled the scene.

At this time, police have not released any additional details surrounding the accident. Investigations are ongoing.
