One Killed in Austin, TX, Single-Vehicle Accident on Bee Cave

Austin, TX -- May 31, 2017, one person was killed due to an accident in which their vehicle somehow lost control and crashed off Bee Cave Road.

Representatives from the Austin-Travis County EMS reported that the fatal crash took place just after 9:00 p.m. near the intersection of Bee Cave Road and Creeks Edge Parkway.

According to preliminary information, at least one person was in a vehicle that was traveling along Bee Cave Road. For reasons which police are still investigating, the vehicle lost control and crashed off the side of the roadway. This caused the vehicle to catch fire.

One person in that vehicle was unable to escape the wreckage and died at the scene. Authorities did not report any additional injuries.

At this time, Texas DPS officials continue to try and determine a cause for the accident.
