Remington J. Peters Killed in Accident in Manhattan, NY

Manhattan, NY -- A parachuting incident in Manhattan, NY claimed the life of 27-year-old Remington J. Peters Sunday, May 27, 2017.

The incident happened near Liberty State Park during a Fleet Week demonstration. According to the report, the victim was killed when his parachute failure on a dive. Mr. Peters, a Navy Seal, was one of four jumpers in the demonstration.

Mr. Peters was transported to a local hospital by emergency personnel, where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

The investigation into the deadly incident is ongoing.
