Robert Walter Hiatt Killed in Accident in Baldwin County, AL

Baldwin County, AL -- A 18-wheeler crash in Baldwin County, AL claimed the life of Robert Walter Hiatt Friday, May 26, 2017.

The investigation into the incident revealed Mr. Hiatt's semi-truck was driving along Interstate 65. Around 4:50 a.m., the vehicle left the roadway, striking a tree, catching fire. Mr. Hiatt, the driver of the semi-truck, was taken to a University of Alabama Medical Center, but succumbed to his injuries a short time later. There was no mention of other injuries reported by authorities.

The exact cause of the incident is currently underway.
