Woman Injured in Waco, TX, Rollover Accident on Franklin

Waco, TX -- May 29, 2017, a woman sustained injuries resulting from an accident in which two vehicles collided at an intersection, causing a rollover.

Waco police and emergency rescue crews were called out to the scene of the accident at around 6:00 p.m. They say that the crash occurred at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and 17th Street.

Preliminary police investigations indicated that a Chevy Trailblazer was traveling northbound along 17th Street with at least two occupants. As it did so, the driver allegedly ran through a red light, resulting in a collision with a second vehicle. This collision caused the Trailblazer to overturn.

A woman from the Trailblazer sustained injuries that were said to be non-life-threatening. EMS transported her to a nearby hospital. No other injuries were reported.

It's unclear if any charges or citations were issued. No further information is available.
