One Injured in Forney, TX, Rollover Accident on US 80

Forney, TX -- May 29, 2017, one person sustained injuries as the result of an accident in which a vehicle overturned along US Highway 80.

Authorities from the Forney Police Department were called out to investigate an accident which they say occurred at around 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of US Highway 80 and FM 548.

According to preliminary police reports, a vehicle was traveling along the westbound lanes of US 80. For reasons not yet reported, the vehicle somehow lost control and went through the median cable barricade. This caused the vehicle to flip over repeatedly.

The driver of that vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Police continue to investigate the factors surrounding the accident.
