One Hurt in Accident on Highway 110 in Smith County, TX

Smith County, TX -- A single-vehicle crash in the area of Smith County, TX left one person with injuries Monday, May 29, 2017.

The incident happened on Highway 110 around 7:30 a.m.

It appears the vehicle occupied by the victim was traveling along 110 when it left the roadway, crashing on the roadside. The vehicle then reportedly caught fire. At the time of the early media reports, it appeared only one vehicle was involved.

The report made no mention of other injuries in the crash.

The exact cause of the incident is yet to be determined.

The official investigation is currently underway.
