Man Killed in San Antonio, TX, Pedestrian Accident at Marbach

San Antonio, TX -- May 28, 2017, a man suffered fatal injuries as the result of an accident where he was struck by a vehicle on the interstate.

The San Antonio Police Department released preliminary details concerning the fatal incident, which they say occurred at around 3:00 a.m. near the intersection of Loop 410 and Marbach Road.

According to police officials, a man, whose identity hasn't been released, was walking along the southbound lanes of Loop 410. As he did so, a passing vehicle somehow failed to notice the pedestrian, crashing into him and throwing him across the road. The vehicle then fled the scene.

Emergency services were called to the scene, but they say the victim died on the roadway. Police say a license plate was found nearby, though they did not confirm if this was related, nor did they report any suspects or arrests.

Investigations continue.
