Man Killed in Killeen, TX, Car Accident at National Guard Building

Killeen, TX -- May 30, 2017, a man suffered fatal injuries due to an accident in which his vehicle lost control and crashed off of Little Nolan Road.

Killeen Police investigators reported that the incident occurred around 7:20 a.m. at the Texas Army National Guard Office located at 3101 South W S Young Drive.

Preliminary reports indicate that a man, whose identity hasn't been released, was traveling westbound along Little Nolan in a 2005 Pontiac. For reasons not entirely clear, the vehicle lost control and went off the side of the road. It hopped a curb, went through a private driveway, and crashed into the side of the National Guard building.

The collision was severe enough that the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The factors surrounding the incident are still under investigation.
