1 Killed, 2 Injured in Socorro, TX, Rollover Accident on I-10

Socorro, TX -- May 27, 2017, one person was killed and two others were injured due to an accident where a vehicle crashed along I-10.

Authorities reported that the fatal single-vehicle accident happened along I-10 near the towns of Socorro and Clint in the late hours of Saturday.

Preliminary accident reports indicate that at least four people were in the vehicle, including two young children. For reasons which have yet to be determined, the vehicle lost control and went off the side of the road. This caused the vehicle to overturn.

A witness rushed to the aid of those in the vehicle. By the time EMS arrived, the driver of the vehicle had succumbed to fatal injuries. An adult female passenger and one of the children were taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. The condition of the other child was not reported.

Police say are still investigating what caused the accident.
