Tim Young Injured in Tomball, TX, K-9 Attack Accident

Tomball, TX -- May 5, 2017, Tim Young was injured as the result of an accident in which he was mistakenly attacked by a Harris County K-9 unit.

Officials from the Harris County Sheriff's Department reported on the incident, which they say happened in the afternoon hours of May 5.

Preliminary details indicate that Young was underneath a mobile home working on an air conditioner unit with his father. As they did so, Harris County Sheriff's Deputies were searching for a car thief suspect in the area. A K-9 unit came upon Young underneath the mobile home, and for reasons unclear, the police dog mistakenly attacked Young.

Officers were able to separate the two and determined Young was an innocent bystander. He had serious injuries to his arm, for which he was hospitalized and underwent surgery.

Details regarding what might have caused the incident are still under investigation at this time.
