2 Injured in Baltimore, MD, School Bus Accident on Rt. 543

Baltimore, MD -- May 24, 2017, two people were injured, one a student, after an accident where a school bus crashed into a car on Route 543.

Harford County Fire and Rescue reported that the accident occurred at around 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of Route 543 and Redfield Road.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a school bus was traveling down Route 543 through the intersection of Redfield Road. Officials claim that the bus driver failed to stop at the intersection and crashed into a car that was turning off of Redfield.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the car was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. A student from the bus was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police did not report any charges or citations. Their investigations are ongoing.
