Christopher Joel Coone Killed in Accident in Norwood, NC

Norwood, NC -- A passenger vehicle vs. semi-truck crash led to the death of 28-year-old Christopher Joel Coone Tuesday, May 23, 2017.

The incident happened at U.S. Highway 52 and N.C. Highway 731 around 1:11 p.m.

At the time of the report, it appeared Mr. Coone's vehicle was southbound when it collided with a southbound semi-truck. The report claims the truck was making a left turn on N.C. Highway 731.

Mr. Coone, an employee of the Norwood water and sewer department, was killed at the scene of the incident.

The official investigation into the incident is ongoing and may reveal more details as it concludes.

The driver of the semi-truck, Sammie Edward, was uninjured in the incident.
