Jordan Bobin Killed in Big Beaver, PA, Bicycle Accident

Big Beaver, PA -- May 22, 2017, Jordan Bobin passed away due to injuries sustained in an accident where he was struck by a vehicle.

Investigating authorities reported that the accident occurred at around 4:40 p.m. near the intersection of State Highway 18 and Old Wampum Drive.

Preliminary reports indicated that 17-year-old Bobin was riding his bicycle along the side of Highway 18. In events that have not been made clear, a driver somehow failed to see the bicyclist, and Bobin was struck onto the roadway by a vehicle.

Bobin was critically injured, and EMS transported him to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. He later died there.

Police did not say if any charges or citations were issued to the driver. Investigations are ongoing.
