Vaughn Kopetsky Killed in Rostraver Township, PA, Trench Accident

Rostraver Township, PA -- May 22, 2017, Vaughn Kopetsky was killed following an accident where trench collapsed on him while working.

Investigating authorities reported that the accident happened at a work site located along Country Drive. The site was part of a storm drain expansion project that's been in the works for some time.

Officials reported that 60-year-ol Kopetsky was working inside the trench when he attempted to climb out on a ladder. An unsupported wall suddenly collapsed in on him and trapped him in the trench.

Kopetsky sustained critical injuries in the accident, and he died as a result. No other workers were reportedly injured in the accident.

Investigations into the accident are currently ongoing.
