Two Killed, One Hurt in Head-On Collision near 2800 E. University Drive in Denton, TX

Denton, TX -- A head-on collision between an SUV and a passenger car claimed the lives of two and left one hurt people Saturday, May 20, 2017.

The incident happened in the vicinity of 2800 E University Dr. around 8:25 p.m. in Denton, TX.

According to the reports, a GMC Yukon was headed east on University when it crossed the center line, colliding with a Nissan Versa. Two occupants in the Versa, a driver and a passenger, were killed in the incident. The driver of the SUV was left with severe injuries in the collision.

The exact cause of the head-on crash is yet to be determined.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
