Robert A. Ybarra Killed, William McCafferty Hurt in Accident in Ector County, TX

Ector County, TX -- A two-vehicle collision led to the death of 27-year-old Robert A. Ybarra, and left 35-year-old William McCafferty with injuries Saturday, May 20, 2017.

The incident happened on SH 302 & FM 1936 around 11:15 a.m.

Police say the victims were the drivers of tow pickup trucks that collided at the intersection. When emergency units arrived, they found Mr. Ybarra dead, and Mr. McCafferty suffering from an injury described as incapacitating.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing and may reveal important details as it concludes.

The report made no mention of other injuries in the collision.
