Matthew Blackburn Killed in Work Accident in Pittsburgh, PA

Pittsburgh, PA -- A work-related incident in Pittsburgh, PA left 46-year-old Matthew Blackburn electrocuted Tuesday, May 23, 2017.

The investigation into the incident revealed Mr. Blackburn was in a lift truck when the vehicle came into contact with a 23,000 volt power line. Mr. Blackburn, the window wisher killed in the incident, was in the bucket of the truck when the incident happened.

Lauren O'Brien, a witness at the scene, called authorities immediately following the incident.

Mr. Blackburn was killed instantly when the bucket came into contact with the line.

According to the report, the victim was part of a crew working at an apartment building.
