Man Injured in Houston, TX, Rollover Accident on TX-249

Houston, TX -- May 22, 2017, a man sustained injuries resulting from an accident where his vehicle overturned on State Highway 249.

Preliminary details have been released by Houston Police Department investigators. They say that the crash took place early Monday near the intersection of State Highway 249 and Veterans Memorial Drive.

According to police officials, a man was driving an SUV along the highway when his vehicle somehow crossed paths with an 18-wheeler. The SUV reportedly swerved to avoid the truck, causing it to lose control and flip over repeatedly.

As a result of the crash, the driver was trapped inside the vehicle. Emergency personnel were able to extract the driver and transport him to a nearby hospital. His condition was unspecified.

No further information has been released at this time.
