Man Injured in San Antonio, TX, Rollover Accident off Zarzamora

San Antonio, TX -- May 21, 2017, a man was injured as the result of an accident where his vehicle overturned on Zarzamora Street.

Officers from the San Antonio Police Department say the emergency call came in at around 8:20 p.m. for the accident near the intersection of South Zarzamora Street and Verano Parkway.

Preliminary reports have indicated that a 20-year-old man was driving a Ford F-350 along the southbound lanes of Zarzamora. For reasons which have yet to be determined, the pickup lost control and left the roadway. It crashed into a pole, causing the vehicle to overturn onto its roof.

The driver suffered serious injuries in the crash. He was transported to a nearby trauma ward in critical condition. Police reported a second person may have been involved, but this has not been confirmed.

The factors surrounding the accident are still under investigation at this time.
