Michael Wise, 4 Others Injured in Cool, TX, Car Accident

Cool, TX -- May 20, 2017, Michael Wise, two children, and two adults were injured following an accident where two cars collided.

Investigating police officials reported that the accident took place at around 1:00 p.m. near the intersection of US Highway 180 and FM 113.

According to investigators, 82-year-old Lorene Francis was traveling along a private driveway off of the highway. Francis reportedly turned onto US 180 into the path of an oncoming Mercedes driven by 26-year-old Michael Wise. This resulted in a collision.

Two children from Wise's Mercedes were ejected from the vehicle during the collision. The children--ages 1 year old and 11 months old--were critically injured and required airlifting to Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth. Wise and two other adults were taken to local hospitals in stable conditions.

Police say that Francis was issued a citation in regards to the accident. They did not release additional details.
