Mario Rebollar Killed, Darryl Barren, Child Injured in Yell County, AR, Accident

Yell County, AR -- May 20, 2017, Mario Rebollar was killed, Darryl Barren and a minor were injured, following an accident where two vehicles collided.

Investigators from the Arkansas State Police Department were called out to investigate the accident at around 12:30 a.m. It took place near the intersection of Highway 27 and Slo Fork Road.

According to state troopers, 19-year-old Rebollar was driving a Lincoln Aviator in the northbound lanes of Highway 27. In the opposite lanes was 33-year-old Barren driving a Chevy Cobalt. For reasons not made clear, the two vehicles crossed paths and collided head-on into each other.

As a result of the accident, Rebollar suffered fatal injuries. Barren and a young boy from his vehicle were taken to St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.

Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
